Hortense Miller Garden in Laguna Beach Welcomes Artists.

The secluded Hortense Miller Garden, located in the north end of Laguna Beach, overlooking the rolling hills and ocean, is launching new and unique opportunities for artists and garden-lovers.

Art in the Garden: Original work with emphasis on, but not limited to, sculpture and functional art to be selected, consigned and exhibited in the naturalized garden and within the historical 1950s residence.

Master Art Classes: Using the garden as inspiration, teachers can conduct painting, writing, photography, or sculpting classes on the 2.5 acres overlooking Boat Canyon with its breathtaking views of Catalina. The Hortense Miller Garden showcases native and naturalized plantings that thrive in our Mediterranean climate.

For exhibition information and to inquire about conducting classes, please contact Leah Vasquez, Art Director, at leahvasquez@cox.net or (949) 494-5787.

The Friends of Hortense Miller Garden regularly schedule docent-led tours serving hundreds of people every year.  The tours provide a unique opportunity to view the garden and art in a serene and architecturally interesting setting. Tour reservations are required in advance and can be made by contacting the Recreation Department in Laguna Beach City Hall at (949) 497-0716. Donations are requested.

The Garden is open Tuesdays through Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to noon.
